Gadi Caplan is a guitarist and composer who wields a progressive fusion of world music with songs that free themselves from labels and leave behind formulas. Caplan’s passion for different styles of music took him on many journeys throughout the years, such as; India where he studied traditional Indian music and sitar, Boston where he studied jazz, fusion and funk along with composition at the Berklee College of Music, and New York City where he joined various rock bands and began his writing partnership with multi-instrumentalist Danny Abowd which resulted in his latest album Morning Sun.

These experiences and travels are captured through the mixture of various styles of music, and create a sound that brings us back to the early seventies or even late sixties, an era when there were no musical rules. Psychedelic drones, modes, odd meters and gently wondering guitar motifs are a specialty of Caplan, and the greater amount of the compositions is dominated by his careful guitar playing.
